President and Chief Executive Officer
Andrew Paul (AP) is the founder of the Tempestas Group and leads the company and all its divisions in growth, governance and finance. Mr. Paul is the senior decision-maker at the company and drives the business forward by combining global business expertise with financial acumen. He sets objectives and builds effective management structures to ensure all targets and projects are delivered in their entirety on time and to budget. He is the key driver for raising and managing finance to allow the company to achieve its goals.
Andrew is an Investment Banker by trade, with 25 years’ experience in the biggest investment banks in the world: Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Nomura International, working across the globe, in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. His investment expertise encompasses commercial disciplines, such as Risk Management, Equity Trading and Derivatives. Mr. Paul has a vast knowledge of the Equity Markets and has lived through the Asian Crisis, the Subprime Crisis and The European Debt debacle.
Chief Operating Officer
Andrew Costain (AC) is our Chief Operating Officer, dealing with all day to day operations and administration within the company, except for the direct mining operation in Arizona. Mr. Costain makes sure the company operates proficiently, with funding flowing efficiently to attain company objectives cost effectively.
AC was an investment banker, with 27 years’ experience in the global financial services industry. He has held global positions in the European, US and Asian markets across top banks, including NatWest, BZW and CSFB, as well as Head of Global Trading at Blue Oak Capital.
Chief Strategy Officer
Andre leads the company in business strategy and is a key player within the senior management team. Working with the CEO, Andre ensures the company plans are deliverable and makes decisions on how to progress strategies to deliver on company objectives. His significant business experience brings lots of common sense combined with driving the company’s activities forward.
Andre started his career in the property and financial services industry over 25 years ago, qualifying as a regulated independent financial and mortgage adviser in 2004. He established key partnerships with a wide range of international banks including: Close Brothers, Investec, Banco de Sabadell, Korea Eximbank and Scotiabank, to raise and deploy over £2bn of commercial and residential real estate asset-backed funding, throughout the UK, U.S, Europe, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
Mr. Peterkin has also helped innovative startups and SMEs utilise their soft assets as collateral for funding. He is a member of two Private Equity groups that have completed financial restructuring, or outright acquisition of professional football clubs in the top tier of English, Dutch, German and Turkish football. He prides himself on working only with the very best people in the sector and manages all of the relationships with lending partners at Tempestas Capital.
Head of Mining Operations
Mr. Johnson is a member of the original Johnson family, who have owned elements of the Kelvin project for more than a century (1924). Not only is John a major shareholder in Tempestas Copper Inc.
John uses his vast experience to manage all mining operations within the Kelvin Project, including the team of geologists and experienced consultants. He oversees all the test drilling, whilst developing future mining strategies and plans as well as ultimately the extraction of copper from the Kelvin Copper Reserves.
In the past, Mr Johnson has owned and managed a range of companies across mining, agriculture, services, retail and construction. John’s vast experience in the mining industry includes actively participating in the following companies: Mineral Field Ventures LLC, Global Mining Exploration Ventures LLC (GMEV), Precision Gold LLC, Land Investors Realty, Red Bird Hills LLC and others. John holds a B.S. Degree in Geography/Geology from Arizona State University.
Principal Geologist for Geological Professional Services LLC.
Mr. Smith is the senior geologist and key analyst on the Kelvin Project collating all previous test data, and directing new test-drilling to get a form grip on the volume, location, type and value of the company’s copper reserves.
Mr. Smith is a skilled, professional geologist, with 45 years’ of experience. He is a Registered Geologist (#35031) in the State of Arizona as well as a Registered Member (Geology) of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (#167376RM). Mr. Smith is also considered to be a Qualified Person to conduct independent geological evaluations for the TSX.
Michael has a B.S. (Geology) from Arizona State University and M.S. (Geology) from the University of Nevada – Reno (Mackay School of Mines). Sole owner of Geological Professional Services LLC, an Arizona company headquartered in Arizona. He has broad experience in exploration, development and mining, as well as presentation of complex mining programs to investors, financial institutions and governmental regulators. He has worked in the USA, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia (Founding President & CEO of Continental Gold), Mexico (Executive VP of Exploration of Monarca Minerals & QP).
Mr. Smith has organized and managed many aspects of mining, including geology, hydrology, ore characterization, resource estimation, geotechnical stability, site planning mine, reclamation planning, environmental permitting, material (waste dump and tailings) characterization for closure planning, and community relations. He has worked extensively with contract management and cost control of engineering contractors, drilling companies and construction companies.
President & Founder - Geological Professional Services LLC
Gabriela is directly contracted by Tempestas Copper Inc. She is a registered professional geologist with 30 years’ experience, and has worked in a wide variety of geologic environments in U.S.A, Mexico, and Chile, exploring for a variety of mineral deposits. She also maintains a number of proprietary databases on world Mo, W, and Sn deposits, exploration properties of all types.
